The art of accessorising

Accessorising is an art, and you either know it or you don’t. But if you don’t, doesn’t mean you can’t. The trick to accessorise is simple, pick a statement piece and revolve your look around it. You need two things -patience & a piece of accessory that stands out. One fine evening I stepped into the office of a designer who opened her trunk box to get my reviews on it. Rest is history. Introducing Amalaan Jewels by Somya Poddar, a little less known costume jewellery brand in the city, encouraged by working on unique mediums. Her pieces are attractive, uber light, and extremely attractive !
aa2I decided to pick up couple of pieces to introduce the label to my readers (honestly, I couldn’t decide on one:p). This is one of the few shoots I hadn’t prepared for. It was like opening the almirah & grabbing a classic anarkali to pair with her jewellery. The trick of accessorising worked! Such pieces are not only statement but easy to play around with. For eg: you can wear the same earring in two ways. And the neckpiece? Well you can see how elegantly versatile this piece looks.
I made sure in both these looks the jewelry stands out. And so it did. It was so much fun styling amalaan. I’m sure you’ll love it as much as i did once you scroll down. Enjoy the pictures 🙂

Amalaan jewels is not just unique in its technique and innovative material, it’s speciality lies in reinventing old Jewelry. You read it right. So if you own some really old/heritage/ vintage jewellery that isn’t fashionable anymore they can help you breathe life back into it. Find more details about the brand in the link below, until then
