Sari Style: This way or That way!

Its a treat to cover a brand/store, as it comes with a fresh perspective; Either a new design or a new way of executing an old design. I am always motivated and awed by their take on trends, besides they push your creativity to try outfits differently.
When Nikhaar Fashions (based in Jaipur) sent me these saris to feature on my blog, i was more than thrilled to do so! This season i’m all for SARIS & it is indeed a challenge to wear something that is traditional yet modern (especially on a festival like Rakhi!). AND as a stylist it is my job to pull this off – for u 😀

The best part about a Sari is that they rarely go out of fashion (depending on what you buy obviously). So it is always a safe bet to go for the classic pieces- they are an evergreen investment. This Rakhi, ditch the cliche Prints and invest in traditional tie n dyes, leherias, and the like.

Here’s my take on two different tie n dye saris, each with a twist. Pop color and traditional tie n dye=total paisa vasool! Keep it flowing if you are a sari-diva, or pleat it up for a fuss free-hand free look. One simple piece, and you can wear it in so so many ways. Well, I chose to belt it up over a gathered pallu, pairingit up with traditional colorful jhumkas and glass bangles, surely goes well with the festive mood. 🙂

This pretty pink ombre sari is so On Trend & total red-carpet material ! Pink is every girls’ favorite, and suits every occasion, somehow. Try something different, as you must, and add a jacket over it. Its not just chic, it also helps you hide those handles 😛  The beautiful drape effect (created by the jacket) waist-down is so attractive, its almost un-like Sari, adding a touc of flamboyancy to the whole look! I decided to skip the jacket though, and chose to wear it with a headgear (yes i’m currently obsessed with it}, Outhouse earrings, a body chain, a cocktail ring and Killer heels!

Believe it or not, Every girl loves wearing a sari, and why not, especially when it enhances the right curves in your body 😛
Tell me which way would YOU like to wear your sari? This way or that way?
Go traditional this rakhi, send us a picture of you in it, and I promise to feature u on my Facebook

page 🙂

Until then,
