FUSS ’14 (UN)Covered: Part I

Hello readers. My much awaited blog-post is here (finally). After all the technical breakdown, traveling, and meetings after meetings, i finally get you the best of FUSS!
FUSS 2014 by Paridhi & Abhishek Sukhani was a fun, eclectic collaboration of designers, shoppers, and fashion enthusiasts. Designers from all over the country put their best foot forward and brought forth their latest collection keeping in mind the festivities around the corner. Result = a super-successful fashion fiesta!! So here’s my list of designers that i absolutely loved ( and why) and designers that surprised me (and how).
OUTHOUSE is one label that has in no-time become everyone fashionistas’ favorite. Kaabia Grewal (one of the Outhouse duo-directors), came down with the Rakhi special collection. Fierce attractive pieces, making for a perfect gift without a hole-in-the-pocket. oops!

This golden box clutch with filigree detail by Art Apparel & accessories by Shelina & Camelia, has landed on my lust-list. It is striking, timeless, and, versatile. What else? It was one HOT-SELLING piece!

The beautiful chandbalis and colorful jhumkas in all shapes & sizes, made Zevar Prêt, every shopper’s favorite (and i cant deny i was one of them!)

Kansya Jewellery-  launched merely 3 months back, was a fresh face at Fuss ’14. With their impressive collection inspired by the art-deco period, the delicate jewellery pieces didnot go unnoticed. My pick? This rudraksh-between-the-palm-ring. Watch out for this brand!

From the uber-cool-traditional headgears, to beaded-embroidered-headbands, to quirky-swanky earrings, Fool-jhadi by Divya Sahwney was a sheer delight to shop! Easy on pocket and high on Style statement, fool-jhadi was a treat for the Calcutta shoppers. And why not? Wear them to cocktail parties or team up with your patialas and shararas..You’re bound to make those heads turn!

I just decided to cover the accessory designers on my first part of FUSS (Un)covered. Irresistable as they are, i wanted to do a separate post on them.
But hey, i also spotted some shoppers! Lets look at what they liked 😀

(Left to Right) *Designer Roli Maheshwari (Tough Love) picked up this gorgeous gown from NIVRITII* *Paridhi Sukhani crushing on these neon colored wide-legged pants by Polka dot* *Chikky Goenka (err..yes that’s me) digging on Mrinalini Chandra’s ‘Please have a seat’ earrings and bangle*
So if you did visit FUSS ’14, tell me what u liked, what you bought (i’m sure you did) and share your picture with me!

Until then,
Chikky Goenka
