Its Deewaalii time, finally! And for me cards party marathon has already begun. Crazy nights of poker followed by sleepy days. I’m going to keep this post short & sweet, so read on to know what’s in store for you.
Last week at Chorbazaar: festive shenanigans, I decided to create a Diwali special lookbook (courtesy designers from the event) for you guys, fashioning two unique looks, for Pre Diwali & Diwali 2015.
Pre Diwali look is created keeping in mind the very many card parties that we attend. Some love to host, some love to attend, and some are just forced to attend. But one thing that unites us is dressing up for it & making this festival a finer affair. I wanted to keep it understated & edgy, so I picked up this printed dhoti pant with an asymmetric tunic top from Urvashi Kaur. I decided to go for some statement jewellery that’s dainty but surely eye catching- like this evil eye neckpiece & bracelet by evaaya. Dhoti pants is clearly the ‘it’ silhouette this season, and will help you live through those long nights of all-ins (if you know what I mean). ♠♣♥♦
PS: Try earthy tones this Diwali as it complements Indian skin tone extremely well.
The main day look is about three things- Colour + Glamour + Tradition. I found this jacket lehenga from Surendri by Yogesh Chaudhry as a perfect fit for Diwali. Statement earrings from Malleka, fancy earrings from fooljhadi, clutch & footwear from The Bling Street, completes the whole look. Don’t shy away from going all out bling this season. Experiment with accessories to make a statement, keeping your makeup fresh & subtle.
PS: While pairing accessories, choose wisely between neckpiece & earrings.
Wishing you, your family, and your loved ones a very Happy & Safe Diwali. Stay blessed & stay stylish! Don’t forget to tag me in your #ootd Diwali picture on social medias. Until next time,
